But what is VancouFur?
VancouFur is Vancouver's first furry convention. Held in beautiful Vancouver BC, the home of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games, VancouFur is surrounded by some of the worlds most beautiful scenery. Vancouver prides itself on its city's rich history and gorgeous scenery, as well as its fantastic shopping and tourist destinations.
VancouFur is in its third year as an official furry convention and is looking forward to creating an experience that will bring the furry world to Western Canada. We also strive to educate as well as entertain in the fields of arts, crafts, culture and other aspects of the furry fandom.

February 15th 2014 - Pre-Registration Now Closed
As of midnight February 15th 2014 pre registration is now closed. You can still register for the convention at the door for the price of $45.

January 12th 2014 - Panel Suggestions now closed
Suggestions for panels are now closed. We thank you for all your suggestions and for your enthuasim. We have a buch of great panels and events for this year. Keep an eye out for the digital schedule that will be posted very soon!
January 12th 2014 - Main Hotel Now Sold out! Overflow Hotel Available
As of today our main hotel is Sold Out.
But fear not!! VancouFur has secured an overflow hotel with the Accent Inn just 5 Minutes from the main convention hotel!

January 1st 2014 - Pre Registration Price Increase
As of 12am January 1st 2014 our price for pre-registration has gone up by $5 to $40.
Get yourself registered today and gaurantee that you are all set for the convention.
We have also added a non-attending membership for people who want to support our convention but can not attend this year. Please see our registration page for all the details

"Gateway to The Pacific." This is of course the theme for VancouFur 2014. But what does that phrase mean to you? How would you describe it? What thoughts does it bring to mind? What images does it inspire? What words pop into your head? What things could you use to better explain it?

October 16th 2013 - VancouFur Promotional Video Contest Deadline Extended
The video Contest deadline has been extended to February 1st 2014!
This year, we are going to try something different...
Vancoufur’s Video Advertising Department invites the furry community to take part in a video contest as part of our promotional campaign for next year’s convention.
WE WANT YOU to create a short promotional video advertising VancouFur 2014. The Winning Video will be uploaded to our YouTube Channel and featured on VancouFur’s associated social media sites to promote the convention around the world.

October 6th 2013 - Canada Banner Ad Contest!
ANYONE AND EVERYONE CAN ENTER. It does not matter if you can come to the convention or not!!!!
VancouFur is giving YOU the chance to get your art as the official vancouFur banner for February!
We are not looking for animated banners, we are looking for still images to use in our website banner.
We are looking for images that are to the theme of our convention!
In this case we are focusing on "CANADA" since that will be the last banner month before the convention.
We want to give people the chance to show off cool things about canada but also to be funny and stereotypical if you want as well! There will be contest winners for different catagories!
