VancouFur Artist Alley

Applications for VancouFur's Artist Alley are now closed, however we will have a selection of slots for each day available at the convention.

Remember! If you have not pre-registered you must return each morning to register for a table and must pay each morning. Each slot is first come, first served.

Be aware that all payments must be in by Jan 31st 11:59pm PST as that is when our online registration closes. If you need more time, please email artistalley@vancoufur.org

Vendor/Dealer Hotel Rooms

If you are thinking of applying to be a vendor at VF2017, PLEASE BOOK A REGULAR ROOM FOR NOW. You can cancel it later if you cannot come/do not get into your vendors area of choice WITH NO CANCELLATION COST. (This is to ensure that you have a room from the get go because the Vendor Applications will not be available right away.)

How do I reserve for a half table?

To reserve a half table, you need to fill out VancouFur's Online Artist Alley application. This does not require any payment of convention attendee fees until after you are approved. You will be sent an email saying that your application has been received. You will be sent a separate email if your application is approved, after which your cart will show you the amount due. Please note that the price for a half table does not include the price of registration for the convention.

How are half tables decided?

It is "First come, First serve", and you also get to pick the area you would like to sit. Once at con you can choose your half table spot.

What happens if I don't get a table?

We will try our best to get you in at least one of the days selected. However if we fill up, we will provide a waitlist for reserve only. We will also have at con half tables, so you are able to get one then.

There is also a Night Market on Thursday, and Art Show throughout the con weekend.

How can I improve my chances of getting a table?

Send your application in quickly, it is first come first serve. Be sure to already be registered. Those who are not will be passed over until you have registered for the con. If you wish to pay all at once (your con registration, and your half table spot(s)), let us know.

Can I request a specific location in the Alley?

For those reserving, you can select the area you would like on the application form. We are looking to see if you can choose your own table before hand, but it may be at the con where you get to choose. At con vendors, we will place you as you arrive.

Is electricity and/or Wi-Fi available?

We will do our best to provide electricity to your table. Please indicate on the online form if you require electricity for your table. There will be free Wi-Fi vouchers given to Artists in our Alley; a vendor can purchase additional vouchers for a donation to our charity.

What can I sell in the Artist Alley?

Vendors found in non-compliance with these rules will first be asked to rectify the problem. If on follow-up the problem persists, the vendor will be ejected from the Artist Alley.

What if I want to leave?

Not a problem. Just be sure to inform the Artist Alley check in table you are leaving.

I reserved my half table, now what?

You should receive an email within a few days of filling out your application noting we have received it, You will receive another email once it has been charged on your registration.

Can I get a full table?

While it is not garuanteed, you may add two half table slots to your application. Space permitting, we may be able to give you a full table. Please keep in mind that half table slots are $15 each and to confirm a full table, you will be paying for both those spaces. ($30.)

I reserved my half table, and got approved. Do I get anything extra?

You get first pick of a spot. Because you reserved ahead of time you get to choose the area where you wish to be seated.

What if I miss the 11 am deadline for my reserved spot?

We start to fill in empty spots at that time. Please get there on time. If you are running late please contact the Artist Alley team.

Can I put signs on the walls?

We ask that you please do not use anything other than painters tape. We are guests, and do not wish to destroy hotel property. You can also place signs on your table. We are also providing a map, where your name will be shown so that people may find you.

If you are unsure, ask the Artist Alley team, and they can inform you if it is alright to use, or not.

Can I leave my stuff on the table if I am returning the next day?

No, you must pack up at the end of the day and remove it from the Artist Alley. Our tables are out in the hallway, and are not secure. You may also be sitting in another spot the next day.

I didn't reserve my spot, will there still be tables available at the con?

Yes, we have set aside a few spots for those who missed the deadline, decided last minute to sell, or whatever the reason.

What if all the spots are filled?

Is there anything else I should know?

There will be no refunds, or transfers for paid tables. This must be your own work displayed at your table. (You may not re-sell merchandise without a licence!) You can have an assistant (due to room, only one other person could sit with you) We have limited chairs.
