VancouFur 2017 Space Station Zebra - Charity Information

VancouFur Charity

VancouFur is very pleased to welcome O.W.L (Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society) back as our 2017 charity. We had a great time hosting them and their adorable Saw-Whet Owl Snoopy at VancouFur 2016 and it is a great honor to welcome them back again for the 2017 convention.

VancouFur 2016 raised over $1750 for them last year and we are hoping to shatter that record this year and we invite all of you to participate and donate to this wonderful society.

OWL will be hosting an educational and LIVE BIRD panel at our event!

O.W.L (Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society)

OWL Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society is a not-for-profit organization whose staff and volunteers are dedicated to conservation through education and the rescue, rehabilitation and release of injured and orphaned birds of prey. OWL specializes in a group of birds called raptors that play a vital role in maintaining a healthy ecosystem; this includes eagles, falcons, hawks, ospreys, owls and vultures. O.W.L. depends solely on public/corporate donations and volunteer support to rescue, rehabilitate and release injured or orphaned raptors..

Bird of prey patients at O.W.L. now number over 600 and are sent mainly from all over British Columbia, as well as other Canadian provinces and the USA. The care centre operates seven days a week and raptor rehab staff are on call on a 24-hour basis to field emergency rescues. Public tours are available daily in July and August and every Saturday and Sunday from September to June between 10:00am and 3:00pm.

If you would like to donate, volunteer or just get more information please visit thier website (http://www.owlcanada.org/) for more information
