Vancoufur 2012 Artist Submission Agreement

  1. No artist shall be given exclusivity with regards to art and art use in any capacity by the convention.
  2. No artist shall be given priority with regards to art use by the convention. All submitted works will be evaluated and used based on quality and suitability for the requirements of the convention.
    • Exceptions may be given to Guests of Honor who submit art.
  3. By submitting creative works to the convention, you agree to provide the convention a non-exclusive license to publish said works in perpetuity
  4. The artist or author may publish the submitted works in any other fashion; previously, at the same time, and after.
  5. Any creative works submitted to the convention may be used in published works, in whole or in part, at the discretion of the convention.
  6. At the end of the convention event, rights to the creative works that are not used by the convention shall revert to the artist.
  7. Proper credit will be given to the original artist(s) in all cases where their work is used in the form of a name and/or email, web address or other contact information.
  8. Preferred method of submissions is electronic. Artwork must be high-resolution of 300 dpi or higher. Preferred file type, would be adobe photoshop or adobe PDF, but TIFF, and JPEG (high quality) also accepted.
  9. Text submissions should be .TXT, .RTF, Open Office, .DOC or adobe PDF. Up to a maximum of 2000 words.
  10. All submissions require the title of the work, author/artists full real name, and pseudonym (if desired). At the discretion of the convention, some submissions may require a signed release form.
  11. Adult material will be accepted at the discretion of the con and should be labeled as such externally (IE: title (A) ). The convention reserves the right to reject submissions for any reason.
  12. All submissions must not contain copyright or trade-marked characters or creations and the submitting artist must have exclusive right to the use of the content.
