Registration

If you upgrade to a sponsor or patron at the door, we cannot guarantee all rewards will be available as some are time sensitive or limited quantities. But it does help support the con so we can continue operating, and for that we are very grateful. 

Underage Attendees

We welcome all underage attendees and their parents in accordance with the following policy:

• VancouFur recognizes that the legal age of majority in BC is 19.
• Minors aged 16 to 18 do not need the consent of a parent or legal guardian to register for membership and attend VancouFur.
• Minor attendees aged 13 to 17 must be registered for a membership and carry a badge designating them as minors at all times. They are not permitted access to event spaces or content marked adult or 18+.
• Minors aged 13 to 15 need the consent of a parent or legal guardian to register for a membership and attend VancouFur. A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN MUST BE PRESENT TO REGISTER AND SIGN for minors aged 13 to 15, no exceptions!
• Minors aged 13 to 15 can attend the convention freely, unsupervised, once they have obtained a valid membership badge. We recommend that minors who will be roaming unsupervised talk to your parents and plan your day! Make sure you have a cellphone or a contact number and know where and when you will be meeting back up with your parents.
• Children aged 12 and under can attend for free but must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian holding a valid membership badge at all times.
• All attendees age 12+ must have completed their vaccinations 14 days prior to the event. A vaccine passport will be required to pick up the minor’s attendee badge.
• Parents attending with minors aged 11 or under must register for, or pick up a free KIT (Kid In Tow) badge for their children at Registration when they register. Infants do not need a KIT badge.
• Parents attending with infants and minors aged 4 to 12 cannot bring their children in to restricted event spaces marked adult or 18+.
• All attendees, including minors, will be required to follow all safety guidelines which may include, but not be limited to, social distancing, hand sanitizing, and wearing masks.

PARENTS PLEASE NOTE: Vaccines are now available for children 5+. If you intend to bring your children we urge you to ensure they are vaccinated if you intend to bring them, for everyone’s safety.

Charity Donations

VancouFur appreciates the generosity of our community. A charity donation can be added to your registration and will go directly to our 2022 Charity.

2021 Early Bird Registrations

If you purchased an early bird registration for 2021 at Vancoufur 2020, please email registration@vancoufur.org. for your options to roll over, donate, or refund your early bird registration.

Covid Cancellations

While we are doing our absolute best to ensure a Covid safe event, we understand that people are still wary of Covid, and may feel compelled to cancel their attendance because of personal safety choices. We respect that, and hope that you will still join and enjoy the online portion of our event in VRchat, Minecraft, and on twitch. However, Vancoufur relies on the proceeds of membership and product sales in order to exist.  All proceeds collected are put towards contracts and other non-refundable items, making refunds difficult or impossible.

As such, all purchases made with Vancoufur (aka BCAEA) are non-refundable. Paid, but not picked-up memberships and goods may be transferred or exchanged for other items with credit given with Vancoufur or payment taken for differences, including:

• Transfer of your paid membership to a different registered person
• Transfer of paid membership to the next year by way of a credit with Vancoufur
• Exchange of paid purchase for goods/services available at that time
• Exchange of paid membership for a different membership
• Transfer of credit with Vancoufur to a different registered person.
